In an inspiring two-day event in Stockholm, Business Sweden gathered climate leaders from across industry, government, academia, and civil society to chart Sweden’s course toward the upcoming COP30 and beyond.

The discussions centered on Sweden’s cutting-edge solutions in areas like clean transportation, robust energy systems, circular manufacturing, resilient food systems, and financial tools aimed at both mitigating climate change and adapting to its effects. These initiatives are designed to contribute to the creation of resilient and prosperous societies.

Notably, the event featured key figures such as Sweden’s State Secretary Håkan Jevrell and Chief Negotiator Mattias Frumerie. They were joined by ambassadors to Sweden from Brazil, China, Australia, Nigeria, and other nations, emphasizing the global nature of the climate challenge and the importance of international collaboration.

Leading Swedish companies also took part, exploring ways to continue their role in elevating climate ambitions and ensuring the effective implementation of the next round of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), paving the way for successful outcomes at COP30.

As the world braces for the challenges ahead, Sweden stands out as a pivotal player in the global climate movement. The countdown to COP30 has officially begun, and all eyes are on Belém.
